Unneccessary Bullshit

Honestly, I'm so tired of the bullshit my fat roommate is pulling. She is annoying as all hell, and is completely passive-aggressive about everything. She is almost the sole reason as to why I hate fat people.
Last night, I sat here at this computer listening to her whine to John about how he didn't love her because he didn't want to sit in her bed with her while she wrote her essay. She announced to everyone walking by our room that she was lonely because her bed was empty and tried to convince other people to come sit with her. She started throwing her stuffed animals at him. Then when he tried to ask her about her essay, she announced that she was no longer going to talk to him. So he decided to ignore her. About thirty seconds later, she proceeded to pester him about what his essay was about until he finally got fed up with it and told her.
Why are you going to force him to sit in a bed with you when he doesn't want to and then throw a tantrum about it? What are you? Five? That's just ridiculous. If he's happy on the floor, leave him be. You both writing an essay, not playing House.
Today, I talked to John and I asked him how fond he was of Nicole. He said not very because of how childish she's being. When the Boiler Incident occurred (see previous post), Paul was sleeping. Nicole and Anya decided to go wake him up all up in giggles because they were like ZOMG the boiler is going to explode! Obviously it wasn't going to since the noise had been occurring on and off all night. He had an 8AM class and was very peeved at being woken up so early by two annoying, giggling idiots after being woken up by the boiler. He left for class and yelled at them, but came back about five minutes later since he forgot something. They started to tease him for being so angry, and he flipped a lid on them because they were being stupid. If they really thought the boiler was going to explode, they would not have been giggling. Interrupting his sleep was not a good idea. Nicole proceeded to yell at him about how he was being annoying and he needed to shut up, after SHE woke HIM up by being annoying.
Now, according to John, she's launched Operation Hate Paul, similar to one she did to me. She is trying to turn everyone against him by telling them that Paul is being mean. He didn't do anything to her other than get angry at her because she did something inconsiderate, and now she's trying to pull some petty, immature bullshit.
She also has Operation Hate Nolan, and Nolan is the nicest, most polite and respectful person in this apartment. He's the person who will take the door from you if you're holding it open from him. He's the type of person who if he senses he has done something wrong will apologize immediately. He always says please and thank you. He's that type of person. She constantly makes all these bitchy remarks to him. A few weeks ago, he said that something was probably not a good idea, and she freaked out at him and started to yell at him for being condescending. Also, she constantly accuses him of throwing banana peels in the garbage can even though she doesn't see him do it.
She annoys everyone in some manner. Last week, Jay was complaining about how she was being annoying, so he told her to shut it. She just replied, "Shut up, Jay. You love me" and began clinging to him.
Not to mention, she's just inconsiderate. Her stuff is everywhere in the room. Difficult to stumble around in the room at night everywhere because that's how everywhere it is. It's in a pile practically in front of the door. It's in a pile next to Lisa's desk, and on Lisa's dresser to the point where Lisa has to start kicking it around to get to her things. And Lisa doesn't even really live here anymore.
I don't know what else to say, but in case, somehow she's reading this... Let me tell you something. I'm not talking shit about you behind your back, because the next time you start acting like a little bitch, I will tell you to shut the fuck up and grow up. And all the above will be used as ammunition against you. So you might as well stop now.
Seriously? You're an adult. You can play polite with Nolan, Paul, and me. You don't have to waste your time doing dumb crap like this. I don't like you, but you don't see me flipping out at you randomly over stupid things. I just ignore you unless it is imperative that I can't. Why can't you do the same? It's not that difficult. Pretend I don't exist, and I will do just the same for you. I guarantee it.
I thought that in leaving high school, I'd be leaving this immature bullshit behind. Just goes to show how wrong I am. Places change, but people never do.

Smiles!

Today was a good day! Lots of good things!
Katherine & Meher came to visit. That was ballin'. Short, but that's okay. Two weeks from now will be raging.
I made new friends because I went to my friend's apartment and played king's cup. That was cool. I made a funny rule. Every time the guys drank, they had to stand up and shake their butt. We played a version that had betting for five which was uncool. You basically have a card on your forehead that you can't see, and you go around the circle saying that you will do something if you have the lowest card (ie. "I will give everyone a hickey." or "I will do a super strikeout."). If you have the lowest card, you have to do it! Luckily, I narrowly scraped out of having the lowest card and having things done to me because I would have cried. (FYI, the ones I chose were "I will show people my butt." That wouldn't have been too bad because I have a nice butt. "I will bite Eugene (my friend)." Also not too terrible because I did not specify where. And in response to Kevin saying he will give me--haha, I just farted--a hickey, "I will pick my nose and flick my booger at him.") Yeah. I don't really want a hickey. And Eugene said that he would do a body shot off me and I don't want that either. Oh and Alyssa, one of the girls BAKED COOKIES. They were kind of small but ooeygooey delicious because they were fresh out of the oven.
Oh, and my friend, Chris, whose apartment I went to started hitting on me. It was very awkward so naturally, I had to start talking shit.

Holy Nerd-dom

I've never studied more in my entire life. This is crazy. If only I'd done this in high school... I wouldn't be going to Santa Cruz, haha.
I'm very determined to get an A in chem and in pre-calc, which explains this sudden influx of hitting the books. Oh well. This is why I'm going to school, right? Unlike the people who made this list below that I found on the wall of my living room.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they are serious. In case you couldn't tell, I did not partake in the creation of this list. I have no lesbian loving, snorting/smoking/injecting coke, or shrooming desires.

Also, today I saw one of the gayest guys I've seen in a while (save for men who are at Nordstrom. They are almost always gay.). He was wearing women's skinny jeans, the men's version of flats, a blouse, a blazer, and he toted a man purse--a murse, if I may. The people I was with (John, Nolan & Paul) and I got a kick out of that. It was kind of funny.

LOL/UNLOL

Tonight, I spent a good three hours tutoring someone with their math homework. That is the strangest thing I've ever done. I hate math. I suck at math. But apparently not enough, because I tutored someone in a subject I haven't legitimately taken since my junior year of high school. Strange.

Also, work really sucks. I absolutely HATE my managers. They all have sticks up their asses. One manager has a fucking skyscraper lodged up there. I am not even kidding. I get bitched at for various things that I should not have to get bitched at. Like wearing black pants and black shoes, which is what the dress code is, and about how I am not allowed to wear that anymore. I'm really going to go out and buy new pants and new shoes (specifically, "ones that you can polish") just for a shitty ass job that I work part-time for, right? Because I clearly have an unlimited amount of money which is why I work at your shitty store and deal with your bullshit and condescending bitch attitude even though your job is really no better than mine. Gotcha.

Withdrawals

Not going to lie, one of the things I miss the most about high school is volleyball, both varsity & club. I miss having a team of girls who run around retardedly in spandex, talking about random things like wedgies & periods, slapping each others' asses, and grabbing each others' boobs. I miss the adrenaline rush of a perfect pass, digging a seemingly undiggable ball, acing a serve. I miss the feeling of diving on the floor, the perfect hit with an insane amount of top spin, a badass floater serve, being sore after a good game or tournament, stuff like that. So this quarter, I signed up for the advanced volleyball class, which "is open to students
interested in participation in the UCSC NCAA Women's Volleyball team.
It covers information and practice in all aspects of the competitive
volleyball season."
I had my first class today, and it felt so amazing to touch the ball. Of course, I'm incredibly rusty, but it all just felt so natural, except for maybe my swing, which is way off. I know that I will never lose my passing, since I can do that shit in my sleep. I can't even describe the way it felt to move volleyball-like on my feet, contorting my body to pass the ball, diving, etc. I am so excited for this class. I'm excited to be beastly again. Maybe.
Also, I've already made friends in this class, which is BALLIN'.

Awesome

Yesterday, as in Sunday, November 23, 2008, Nicholas C. Rubin came up to visit me. It was awesome. It was the first time someone came to see me! Nobody loves me, I guess, haha.
I go home tomorrow, as in Tuesday, November 25, 2008. I'm kind of excited. I also found someone to cover my shift for me on Wednesday so I don't get fired.
I hope this means that this week will be better because I'm counting all the positive things. I hope they outweigh all the negative things that have happened so far because I would really like one good week. That's all I'm asking. One.

Best Part About My Night

I got a drunk dial tonight from the one and only, Ms. Natalie Alison Tyson! It was awesome. I'm not sure I should disclose what it was about, but it was quite the scandal!

Edit:
I got TWO drunk dials! What a delight!

My Davis Adventure

On the way to Davis
- I sat next to an annoying baby plus hippie mother on Bus 16 - Laurel East to the Santa Cruz Metro. The baby pulled its mom shirt down and started sucking on the boob. It then tried to grab me and touch me. It also bit the rubber part around the window and drooled all over it. Fucking babies.
- There was a lot of traffic. When there was finally minimal amounts of traffic, I told Ryan to haul ass. He drove 75 mph.

At Davis
- Meher, Hermes, Katherine, Ryan, RJ & I got really drunk. Really, really drunk.
- I wrote a song for Neri Lubomirsky. It is amazing. Hopefully I will remember it around Thanksgiving so I can sing it for everyone!
- I finished off OVER half a fifth of Jager. Ballin'!
- I beat Arjun up for being a dumbass.
- I played Gears of War 2! Good thing my roommate, Paul, taught me how to play before I left.
- I went to my first college football game as a college student. Kind of.

Back from Davis
- My mom refuses to replace the rum she took from me.
- She took me out for Chinese food. YUM.
- I miss everyone a lot already. And I don't like Santa Cruz very much, even though it's still kind of fun. Someone keeps moving my stuff around, ie. stacking my shoe boxes and clearing my bookshelf. I know I didn't do it because I always keep my Uggs on top of them when I'm there, and I never stack my shit. Nor do I keep anything clean. Lame.
- I miss everyone.
- I miss everyone.
- I miss everyone.
- I'll be back for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday night. HANG OUT PLZ? When will everyone else be back?

Strangely enough, this was the most fun I've had since college started. Epic fail. (Wow, I used almost all of my tags in this post.)

High School Musical 3

I love it. I'm not going to lie. I saw it last Friday with E-Miller and it was awesome. SO much better than High School Musical, and High School Musical 2 (absolute shit, btw). The music is catchy as hell, but most of all, the choreography is AMAZING. Holy shit, I wish I could dance. And of course, I love romantical cheesiness.
But seriously, I absolutely LOVE Kenny Ortega's work. He's an amazing director and choregrapher. His notable works include "Dirty Dancing", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", the opening & closing ceremonies for the Atlanta Olympics, and "Newsies", which is how I was "introduced" to him. He also did HSM 1 & 2, but holyyyyy shit, 3 is glorious.
Troy & Gabriella have this waltzy piece on top of the school roof to "Can I Have this Dance", and it is absolutely spectacular!!! I don't know much about dancing, but I know that when I get married, I am SO doing a choreographed dance of immense, breathtaking, awe-inspiring proportions.
Then some of the Senior Year High School Musical numbers are also spectacular like the "A Night to Remember" prom piece. It's cool. I don't know how else to describe it. Also, the costuming is kind of ridiculous, but I really like Gabriella's dress.
And the last bit of choreography I loved was Troy & Chad's "The Boys are Back" dance in the junkyard. Definitely epic. :) They are so adorable! And I loved the two little kids in it as a flashback from when they were kids.

One thing, however, doesn't line up. Troy and Chad keep talking about playing basketball for the U of A which everyone assumes to be the University of Arizona. I mean, that's the most popular U of A. Except the audience finds out that it's the University of Alburquerque. WTF! At the end of the musical/movie, Troy is forced to make a decision about where he's going to college, and he announces UC Berkeley. WTF!! Is that really even a difficult choice to make? Berkeley versus some nearly unknown school? In addition, the University of Albuquerque doesn't even exist! It closed in 1986. I looked it up on Wikipedia. WTF! Now some kids are going to be like omg, I want to go to the U of A to see Chad or whatever, and when they go to apply, they will be HEARTBROKEN. Lame. Except not really. It doesn't affect me in any way.

If you think about it, High School Musical and High School Musical 3 are both very postmodern. It calls attention that it is a musical within a musical. You have people breaking out of the status quo, ie. nerds being dancers, jocks being musical stars, nerds dating jocks. It's very fragmented; storylines don't really connect, but it kind of makes sense as a whole! The whole postmodern she-bang! I love Scotty Catrette.

This is exciting. A light-hearted post for once.

Homecoming

:( I can't make it back home for Homecoming this weekend either. I have way too many things to do and not enough time at all. Retarded. Come visit me on Saturday though, if you have time? That would be nice. I miss everyone. I'll show you the tree sitters.

No Life

The best thing about being SO FAR away at college is that people think I can just drop everything to pop back home randomly on weekdays. Not like I don't have classes or any obligations or anything. Next time anything happens to me, I'll make sure that they come immediately. Not like they don't have obligations or anything, right?

On a random note, or several random notes...
The FedEx guy at Longs gave me a mini pumpkin today!
I found a third tree sitter, hidden mysteriously above me. I always wondered why that orange cone was there. Now, I know why!
I saw a guy on a bike get hit by a car last week! I forgot to blog about it.
In my Documenting Oral History class, there's a girl whose lower half of her face looks like the Joker's. NOT EVEN KIDDING. It even moves similarly. It sort of freaks me out, a lot. I always stared at her oddly in class to try and figure it out. Now I have.
I hate buses and missing them. Yesterday, a bus left me behind. Today, I was more assertive and I banged violently on the door, and the bus stopped and let me on. Then some guy made fun of me. It's not my fault the stop lights don't change fast enough.

Watch this video. It's very insightful.

In fact, check this shit out. Your life will change. Not gonna lie. www.mrchicity.com

High School Musical 3

One thing I miss about home is having people to be absolutely ridiculous with. I miss having a group of people to watch "Gossip Girl" and "One Tree Hill" with. I miss being able to drive around and blast High School Musical or Demi Lovato or the Jonas Brothers. All the squealing and fun-ness of being retarded teenage girls. I miss it a lot.
I just get made fun of a lot here.

Also, the answer to yesterday's pop quiz was C. All of the above.

Cool, and Not Cool

A few days ago, Joe B. Kim, Monta Vista math teacher extraordinaire, texted me asking me if I was busy around noon today. I said no, because I wasn't, and we went out to lunch today! It was pretty cool. He is very tan. He also drives a white 325i, an e36, that he wants to keep on the DL, though I don't know why he'd do that. He said that one of his friends just gave it to him! And his friend kept it in terrible shape. The paint is peeling and fading, and so are the logos. The headlights are dirty and scratched up. I told Mr. Kim that if he ever didn't want it anymore, he can give it to me. So I hope he does!!!
Anyway, I keep missing the bus, and it makes me really, really sad. :(
Also, all of my roommates think I am very racist because I talk in accents (read: yellow and brown) to Indian people; I dance to dinga dinga dinga dinga (you know, bhangra), and stuff like that. Since when did my life emulate racism? The only way to fix this situation would be for everyone (read: everyone) to come visit, and WE WILL ALL BE BLACK, BROWN, AND YELLOW like a bruise for a few days! Perhaps while belligerantly drunk. Or not belligerant.

Oh, Robert, Lauryn, and Erin (Scotty Excluded)

One thing I've noticed about college, especially with regards to writing essays and such, is that some people are complete idiots. Like, seriously, I wonder how they got into college. I am by no means a good writer. I am a decent one, at best. In fact, I think I'm pretty terrible, but there is a noticeable difference between the style and diction of my prose and theirs. Maybe I was really lucky and had fairly awesome lit teachers throughout my years of high school.
Mrs. Robbins was fucking bomb, and taught me how to write decent essays complete with fascinating introductions and Big Idea conclusions. Gahagan was... cool. I don't remember what she taught me. And Mr. Javier's class was a struggle for me to pass and write essays up to his excellent standard. I barely got a B first semester. Catrette's class was a joke.
Okay, well, like the other people's essays in my class, I have no thought and no direction about this blog.
The moral of the story is I guess I write good essays. That's what everyone says. This is terrible. I will never get any feedback on how to make them better. *sad face*

T minus Seven Hours

That's how long it is until my move-in time. Unstrangely enough, I'm arriving an hour prior because my crazy mom wants be to have the "good bed." I'm in a small triple; the bed arrangements are two bunk beds, and the "good" single bed. To be honest, I wouldn't mind having that either because I toss and turn a lot.
To be honest, I'm very, very scared. And I'm blogging to calm my nerves. It's two in the morning, and I have yet to finish packing. I still have almost a day and a half to get my belongings together since I'm coming home tomorrow night to see the legendary Carcass and heading back to Santa Cruz on Saturday. In reality, I'm going to be fairly busy. That, however, has not yet sunk in, so I sit here and idly type.
I went to say hellogoodbye to a bunch of people at Monta Vista today. The most awkward encounter was with my most favorite, Scotty C! He had his prep period so I poked my head in and waved obnoxiously, and then walked away. Approximately thirty feet away from his door, I heard someone call out my name in an oh so familiar, monotonous, sleep inducing manner. I turn around, and who could it be but Scotty C! We had a five minute awkward conversation about Samantha Wang and Mike Hultquist, and then I scurried away.
The best experience was by far with my other most favorite, DeNaeNae! I walked into the Leadership class with lots of little Leadership people. I sat down in my old '08 spot (second desk against the wall by the door, far side of the table against the wall, in case you were wondering) which happened to be this year's Staff Relations table! What joy! She began focus group discussions and passed out lovely sheets to everyone, myself included, to fill out their most favorite one and launched into reading the paper in her perfectly lovely voice. Halfway down the paper, as I was filling it out, I hear "What the heck!?" and I look up to see DeNaeNae smiling fondly down at me, bewildered at my sudden appearance seemingly as a student in her class. Hilarity ensued and much laughter was had by all.
I might miss high school.
